Viv Ahmun

Viv Ahmun works at the intersection of capital, enterprise and social change.

For more than 25 years he has founded ventures, developed leaders and built partnerships designed to strengthen institutions and unlock new economic ecosystems. He is the co-founder of Aspire Education Group, an education and enterprise development company that connects European expertise with emerging entrepreneurial ecosystems across Africa. Aspire’s European work, delivered through its Germany-based subsidiary, grew out of earlier initiatives in East Africa, including the establishment of Power The Next, a platform that brought together investors and next-generation startups from across the region. The learning and partnerships from that work now underpin Aspire’s wider activities, focused on education, enterprise development and the mobilisation of capital between Europe and Africa. This includes the development of a technology and leadership hub in Kampala, connected to a wholly independent subsidiary in Germany, supporting innovation and entrepreneurship aligned with the ambitions of the African Union’s Agenda 2063. Alongside this work, Viv acts as a Strategic Advisor to founders and senior leaders, supporting them as they scale organisations, build resilient institutions and navigate complex environments. His work also includes long-term collaboration with commercial organisations, public sector actors and mission-driven institutions operating in complex social and economic contexts. Across everything he does there is a single focus: Mobilising capital, leadership and partnerships to build institutions capable of creating lasting social change.
